Cliff Lee has been a baseball player I have looked up to for many years. He
started out as a kid that loved to be outside and then started baseball from the
request of local coaches. He had a large amount of natural ability. As he played
the game he just got better and better. He was usually the best player on the
field and was the player you loved to hate because he was so good. He went on to
play High School baseball and excelled on the mound. He had a cockiness to
himself that some say helped him through his career. During his senior year of
High School, he enrolled in the draft and was drafted really late. He decided
not to go pro, he ended up playing for a small college team for two years. After
that he moved onto the Arkansas Razorbacks. Here he was my favorite pitcher,
dominating opposing batters. He stayed at Baum Stadium for a few years. Cliff
Lee entered the draft again his senior year of college and left to go play AA
baseball for the Indians Farm team. He dominated the field for many years, he
then moved to triple AAA and after that he went on to play in the Majors. He was
a great pitcher. He broke a few records, Cliff Lee left his mark on every team
that he played for. He played for the Phillies, Rangers, and the Indians. There
were other teams he played for also. When he left college to enter into the
draft he married his high school sweetheart. When he played for the Rangers I
watched him a lot like I did when he played for the Arkansas Razorbacks baseball
team. When he was here I loved watching him pitch. He was a stud on the mound.
When he was on the Rangers I got to watch him play in the world series and the
playoff games that lead him to the finals. When Cliff Lee played for the Hogs I
got to watch him pitch in Omaha at the college world series. This pitcher is one
that I will always enjoy talking about and watch through his days of being a pro
baseball player. He is one of my many favorites to walk onto the field and be a
Arkansas Razorback baseball player.
